{"id":164,"date":"2014-02-13T10:43:32","date_gmt":"2014-02-13T15:43:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mauiarts.com\/blog\/?p=164"},"modified":"2014-02-13T10:46:47","modified_gmt":"2014-02-13T15:46:47","slug":"seascape-painting-on-surf-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mauiarts.com\/blog\/seascape-painting-on-surf-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Seascape Painting on Surf Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I mentioned Monday, I sold an original Surfboard at the Diamond Head Gallery on Maui this week. \u00a0I am thinking of doing a series of these wild surf surfboards as my next endeavor. \u00a0I have another one almost done (as you can see above) and a couple others primed and ready to start. \u00a0By the way, these are not actual surfboards. \u00a0Similar to my Windows to Paradise collection, they are cut from wood in the shape I design and then we stretch canvas over the shape to create the illusion. \u00a0The process is a bit complicated. \u00a0I design the shapes by hand and then transfer the images to the computer where I create digital cutting files. \u00a0These are transferred to another computer that controls a CNC router since we cut them on a CNC router (computer controlled).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m wondering if I should create a line of surfboard giclee&#8217;s?
